Community Conferencing will save you and your organisation time, effort and money with external and internal business interaction, using a state of the art voice conferencing system.

If you are not familiar with voice conferencing, we have a piece of hardware that allows you to talk to and interact with between 2 and 100 people on one telephone call.

All you need is a room number, a touch-tone telephone, and a reason for gathering a group of people together.

Once registered, you have access to your room when you want to use it. You do not have to book a time with us, and you do not have to pay for your initial or continued registration. All anyone will ever pay for is the telephone call into the system.

  • Silent room entry and departure
    Join and leave a conference without disrupting the flow of conversation.
  • Record and download
    Use the UK's first free record and download facility to record as much or as little of your discussions.
  • Mute and un-mute
    If you are in a noisy location, you can mute your receiver so you do not disturb the conference but can still listen in. Once the noise has passed, you can un-mute your receiver.
  • Lock and unlock
    If you are discussing sensitive issues or simply do not want to be disturbed, you can lock and subsequently unlock your conference.
  • Head count
    You can check how many people are on the conference call with you.
  • Roll call
    When you dial in to a conference, you are asked to state your name - the roll call feature will run through these names on demand.

All of our in-conference features can be used by any of your conference's participants at any time, and as many times as they wish during the conference.

  • 98% of telephones available for purchase in the UK will automatically be able to use this system.

  • Community Conferencing operates an 0870 national rate telephone service. The cost of using this service is:
  • Peak: Most landlines are typically chargd at 6.7 pence per minute, and mobiles at 8.5 pence per minute

    Off Peak: Most landlines are typically chargd at 4.5 pence per minute, and mobiles at 8.5 pence per minute

    Weekend: Most landlines are typically chargd at 1.5 pence per minute, and mobiles at 8.5 pence per minute

    Mobile Users: Please check with your provider, as some allow the use of 0870 numbers as a part of your 'minutes package'. Therefore the rate will be hugely reduced - or even free

  • Over the next 12 to 15 months, 0870 numbers will be phased out, with 0844 taking over. 0844 numbers have a slightly different tariff (and currently it is proposed that it will be cheaper). As soon as we have any further information, we will let you know.
