These features
can be used at any time during a conference, as many
times as you wish, and by any of the conference participants.
- Silent Room Entry
By default, you join a conference without making a sound.
If you are the first person to arrive you will hear
music, but everyone else will simply join the conference.
This is so you do not disrupt anything already in progress.
- Record Start - #8 (hash eight)
To start a recording session, simply press #8.
You will then be asked to confirm by pressing 1.
- Record Stop - #8 (hash
eight) again
If you do not stop a recording that you have started,
the facility will not work! To stop a recording once
you've started it, press #8 again.
Again you will be asked to confirm that you want to
stop the recording by pressing 1 again.
- Mute - 6 (six, no hash required)
If you are in a noisy location and would like to hear
what is being discussed without interrupting, press 6 on
your keypad and you will mute your receiver.
- Un-mute - 6 (six, no hash
required) again
Once the noise has passed, simply press 6 on
your keypad to un-mute your receiver.
- Lock - 3 (three, no hash required)
If
you do not want to be disturbed, or are discussing
sensitive issues, 3 will lock your
room so no other callers can dial in.
- Unlock - 3 (three, no hash required)
again
If you want or need to re-open your conference, pressing 3 again
will unlock it.
- Head count - #1 (hash one)
You can check how many people are on a call with you
by pressing #1 at any time.
- Roll call - #2 (hash two)
When you dial in to a conference, you are asked to
say your name before being allowed in to a room. #2 will
run through the list of recorded names.
- Silent Room Departure
By default, you will also leave a conference without
making a sound after you've hung up. Again, this is
so you do not disrupt anything continuing after you
leave.
